We are learning all about apples and pumpkins in class. We are learning about how to find facts from stories. We have read several stories about apples and pumpkins and have learned a lot! Here is our bulletin board out in the hallway. We had a great time making apples and pumpkins, balancing "apples" (bean bags) on our heads to match the book 10 Apples On Top, and creating an apple fact sentence.
During our writing block, we are learning what writers do. This week, we talked about how stories need a picture and some words. We also talked about how when you think you are done, you have just begun. This means to check your words to see if you can add more and to check your picture to see if you can add more details.
Last Friday's Leadership Challenge had us working together as a team to make a standing house out of 20 index cards and 1 long piece of tape. The class did an excellent job!
